What is a ratchet wrench:
The ratchet wrench drives the sleeve fixed on the wrench to easily load and unload bolts and nuts by reciprocating the manual wrench, which is characterized by labor-saving and time-consuming. Especially suitable for occasions with small turning space. For example, the nut removal in the car, the nut removal in the chassis, etc.
The ratchet wrench usually uses inches to mark the side length of the square interface, such as 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch, 1/2 inch, corresponding to the metric system 1/4 means that the size of the square head is 6.3mm, and 3/8 means 9.5mm , 1/2 is 12.5mm. And the corresponding Chinese are Dafei, Zhongfei and Xiaofei.
The 1/4 small fly ratchet wrench is suitable for sockets below 14mm to tighten nuts, the 3/8 inch medium fly ratchet wrench is used to deal with sockets within 24mm, and the 1/2 inch large fly ratchet wrench is used for large diameter sockets, such as Nuts within 32.
There is also the number of teeth of the ratchet wrench. Generally speaking, the more the number of teeth, the finer the torque it can withstand, and the shorter the rotation distance of each tooth, the smaller the angle, and the more labor-saving. The smaller the number of teeth, the larger the corresponding teeth, and the greater the torque that can be tolerated. The rotation distance of each tooth is relatively long, and the angle is relatively large, such as 5 degrees for 72 teeth and 8 degrees for 45 teeth. Therefore, it is not rigorous to say that it is better to have more teeth or less teeth.
During use, we found that the more teeth there are, the easier it is to control in a narrow space, but the ability of the teeth to resist torsion becomes worse, and it is easy to break with brute force. If the number of teeth is small, it is not easy to break, and it is easy to be restricted in a small space.
